1st PinoyBBDev App Challenge Update: Deadline Extended!!!

Hi All!

December as we all know is a very busy month for all of us. Some of us attended the BlackBerry DevCon Asia 2011 in Singapore. We have lots of Christmas parties and reunions to attend to. Basically, schedule is tight.

Inline with our goal to deliver quality apps in the Challenge, we’ll be giving you more time to finish it and improve it by extending the deadline to January 31, 2012!!!. Yes! That’s 1 month extension. Not only that, we’ll be also conducting a “PinoyBBDev Hackathon” exclusive to participants in the challenge to bring what they have started and will try to help you out in finishing it. You’ll also be given the chance to test it in an actual device from OS 5.0 devices to OS 7.0 and BlackBerry Playbook.

And if that’s not enough, we’ll be also giving away some BlackBerry Devices to lucky participants in the Hackathon.

So keep on visiting the blog and watchout for more information on the PinoyBBDev Hackathon.

For all those participating in the 1st PinoyBBDev Challenge, please email us the following to be eligible in the contest and to participate in the Hackathon:

1) PinoyBBDev Username

2) Full Name

3) Application Name

4) Overview of your application

Submit your Entries to the PinoyBBDev Challenge 2011

Have you started creating your apps for the PinoyBBDev Challenge 2011? Or do you intend to join the challenge? or have an existing app in App World?

If so, send an email to the official PinoyBBDev Challenge 2011 email address challenge2011@pinoybbdev.com with subject “PinoyBBDev Challenge 2011 Entry” with the following information to join the challenge.

  1. Your PinoyBBDev username/full name
  2. E-mail address

Please include these additional information below if you’re finished developing your apps and already submitted an app to the App World.

  1. App World Vendor Name
  2. Application Name and URL to your app in App World (e.g. http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/3729?lang=en) — for multiple entries, just list down all your apps with their corresponding URL, as long as it’s under one vendor

You still have 16 days left to submit your app as an entry to the competition. Good luck devs!
