2nd PinoyBBDev Hackathon – A success story! – Part 1

Twenty-Two Teams accepted the 2 day hackathon challenge last Aug 4-5. Attendees from several companies, schools, and freelancers join forces to create 22 Blackberry applications using different platforms namely Adobe AIR, HTML5, Native C++, Android and Cascades.

Are you up for the challenge? Join the WebGeek DevCup!!!

Our Community Partner, WebGeek Philippines is hosting a hackathon where participants will be given six hours to develop a web application that will be based on the theme to be given that day. At the end of the allotted time, the finished web apps will be presented to the panel of judges that consist of seasoned gurus in the fields of web application development and program management.

The web apps will be evaluated according to technical complexity, user experience, social relevance, and originality. Those who emerge victorious will win fantastic prizes! It’s a battle of innovation and creativity, and a day full of fun and challenges!

This competition is open to all app development enthusiasts! You can go solo, form a duo or trio, and register until August 15. A registration fee of Php250 (individual), Php500 (2 team members), or Php750 (3 team members) will be collected through Eventbrite. Additionally, sponsors and interested individuals are encouraged to support this dynamic event.
